YogaBe Story

Love is infectious, so spread it around!

It is my belief that what you choose to wear has a profound effect on how you feel and act, and how you are perceived by those around you.

YogaBe seeks to raise this awareness with fresh and funky designs that spread the eternal and ancient messages of peace, love and light.

The merging of two defining passions in my life, Illustration and Yoga has led me to create YogaBe!

In 2009 I wrote and illustrated a children’s Yoga book called “Budabebe, Rainbow Breath” and as I was spending that Summer in NYC with my husband (who is American) and our four daughters, we visited a lot of yoga studios, shops and centres to do distribution research for the book. On this tour around I was always on the look out for a T-Shirt that expressed on the outside how I was feeling on the inside.
Without a doubt there was some lovely ones, but I just couldn't find the 'perfect' one - the one carrying the message I wanted to wear!

Back at home on the Cornish Coast in England, in between caring for my family and running my illustration business, I have found the time and inspiration to create my own range of designs which I hope will give you as much pleasure wearing, as I got from creating them!

2010 Update: I am pleased to share with you that I have taken the next step on my yogic path and signed up for Teacher Training with the British School of Yoga.
With the help of my amazing teacher Denise Christian (Ashtanga Yoga Cornwall) I will be steadily expanding my knowledge.
I have also launched a range of Greetings Cards, starting with the 'Peaceful Christmas' range for Christmas 2010. Now you can send out that message as well as wear it!

2011 Update: After making some Gemstone Malas for friends and family for Christmas presents, I decided to expanded the YogaBe range to include these beautiful Hand-Strung Gemstone Malas. I adore making these amazing malas, from choosing the beads to hand-stringing them myself, it's a meditation every time I create a new one!

Finally, please make sure you stop by the main YogaBe blog and the YogaBe FaceBook page, both of which are constantly being updated with info on new designs in the works, and general chit chat about what is going on in the world of yoga.

Namaste
